My granddaughter is in love with Misty Copeland! She is her first African American Shero. I bought her the short version of Misty and that book is in tatters now. I bought this one as she was giving a presentation at school during women's month. Today, I decided to look into the book and I am impressed at how honest and detailed this book is. Her life is an open book, is a understatement with this reading. I'm sure lots of people will relate to her after reading this very real and raw version of her life. My 10yr old loves it.
